Review Your Year and Get Ready for Something New!

By Sabrina Espinal 3:54 pm

Let’s take a moment to look over your year. Each month has something worth remembering and capturing. And don’t worry, even a crazy year can have moments of magic.

LET’S GET STARTED:
One of the easiest ways to do this is to simply grab a notepad or journal and go through
your life from January through December:

  1. Go through your photos.
  2. Go through your calendar.
  3. Go through your social media images and/or posts.
  4. Remember to add training classes and/or life changes.
  5. Look through messages of your closest friends
  6. Go through everything that contains your life!

NEXT
Take 10 minutes and think of each month and write down what was happening in your life.

Don’t worry if you think you’re missing something. Events will begin to pop into your head once you start the process.

HOW DO YOU WANT TO FEEL?
I also look at my Core Desired Feelings (The Desire Map) and check-in with how I’m feeling. I think you would agree that feeling good is everything. My core desired feelings are Grace, Peace, Joy, Love, and Creativity. If you want to know how to identify your core desired feelings, pick up The Desire Map by Danielle LaPorte.

“Knowing how you want to feel is the most potent clarity you can have. Generating those feelings is the most powerful thing you can do with your life” – Danielle LaPorte.

Refresh Your Social Media And Brand

By Sabrina Espinal 5:05 pm

Your business card is not only your website and so are all of your social media sites. People do look at your social profiles and make decisions about you, your brand, and if they want to work with you. I will make a bold statement and say that gone are the days when you can have social media profiles that are not in harmony with your business.

PURGE CONTENT THAT NO LONGER REPRESENTS YOU

Go through the streams on each social network and delete posts that are no longer relevant to the new strategy or branding. Once you begin publishing new updates it should appear to be a smooth transition.

WRITE THE RIGHT BIO

Write a short and concise bio. Target areas to hit can be what you offer, how it helps someone, and a compelling or your tag line. The bio should be short and concise while giving key information about the brand that fans can find right away. The goal is to make it easy for fans to understand the company’s offerings without having to dig for it.

REVIEW AND UPDATE SOCIAL NETWORKS

Conduct a simple makeover on each social network’s pages. Change the “view” to what other’s see and determine if it is old and stale or new and fresh. Freshen up your networks like a mini-makeover.

REFRESH YOUR B

Just as a website needs design updating, so do your social networks. Create a fresh new look and feel for your brand’s social media presence, and mirror the design across all social media profiles that you will be working with. Consistency in social design is key for clean and professional branding.

RESOURCES AND DOWNLOADS

A great way to establish your brand as a credible resource is to create and manage lists or guides.

Quick Content Marketing Strategy

By Sabrina Espinal 8:50 am

Are you lost in a content drought? It happens to everyone so cheer up, buttercup!

Let me share a quick practice to give you clarity and get your content back on your social feed. Use this exercise to write your next few social media posts or to think about future content ideas.

CORE AUDIENCE
You can have multiple core audiences for your social feeds and business, so select your general audience. You can come back and do the exercise later for a different audience. Right now, we just want to get you out of the content and posting drought!

WHAT WILL YOU DELIVER TO YOUR AUDIENCE
This can be a quick tip. An introduction. A tidbit about your business. A quote, freebie, behind the scenes, etc. Make it easy.

DESIRED OUTCOME FOR THE AUDIENCE
The outcome for them can be to feel informed, be uplifted, engage in a contest, share, etc.

HOW DO YOU WANT YOUR AUDIENCE TO FEEL
Glad they saw your post? Ready to share? Good? Empowered in information? You decide.

CALL TO ACTION
Not every “call to action” has to be a link to something. You decided if that is appropriate or not for your post. If you haven’t posted in weeks, I would suggest not posting a link to make a purchase.

HOW DO YOU WANT YOUR AUDIENCE TO THINK OF YOU/YOUR BRAND
What feelings do you hope they will feel after reading your post?

An Influener Is What You Make It

By Sabrina Espinal 2:21 pm

Don’t let the word “influencer” be defined as someone who showcases their makeup and clothes. Don’t miss out on becoming an influencer to those who are looking for someone like you.

The term “influencer” can mean different things to different people but for my purpose, it means someone who can share and give great knowledge and guidance. And as a single entrepreneur, you can do just that!

So how do you become an influencer? It takes and trust. You begin by building a small group of people who are looking for your unique expert wisdom, guidance, and panache. It takes time and error to find your own niche and build your skills, knowledge and grow into your brand.

Inc Magazine has shared 10 steps to becoming an Influencer:

1. Find Your Niche

2. Do Something Unique

3. Pick Your Social Media Channels and Groups

4. Create A Social Media Strategy: Plan out your content. Make a list of the content you want to create for the next month or pick a theme. Decide how often are you going to post. When will you post? Be consistent.

5. Create Great Content: Make sure you create the best content you can. It’s your brand.

6. Be Consistent: My favorite podcasts come out on the same day and time every week. Your content should be the same way. I post new articles on my blog every Tuesday at 5 PM. You need to give your audience a reason to subscribe. If you don’t create new content, on a consistent schedule, why would they need to subscribe? They’re not missing anything.

7. Promote: You spent all this time creating content, but what good is it if nobody sees it? Remember, it’s 20% content creation and 80% promotion.

8. Collab: The quickest and easiest way to grow your audience is by working with a bigger influencer than you. Remember, there’s more in it for you than the bigger influencer, so you’ve got to help them out to make it worth their while. I figured out this trick with my Forbes articles. If I interviewed big influencers, and let them promote what they wanted, they would share the article and it’d get a ton of views.

9. Engage With Your Audience: This will be easy at first because won’t have a big following. Respond to every comment, follow people back, etc.

10. Look At The Data: What content is working? Who is your audience? Look at the analytics. What does your audience look like? Create content that is true to you and that resonates with your audience. Finally, ask your audience what they want to see more of.

What do you think?
