Your business card is not only your website and so are all of your social media sites. People do look at your social profiles and make decisions about you, your brand, and if they want to work with you. I will make a bold statement and say that gone are the days when you can have social media profiles that are not in harmony with your business.
PURGE CONTENT THAT NO LONGER REPRESENTS YOU
Go through the streams on each social network and delete posts that are no longer relevant to the new strategy or branding. Once you begin publishing new updates it should appear to be a smooth transition.
WRITE THE RIGHT BIO
Write a short and concise bio. Target areas to hit can be what you offer, how it helps someone, and a compelling or your tag line. The bio should be short and concise while giving key information about the brand that fans can find right away. The goal is to make it easy for fans to understand the company’s offerings without having to dig for it.
REVIEW AND UPDATE SOCIAL NETWORKS
Conduct a simple makeover on each social network’s pages. Change the “view” to what other’s see and determine if it is old and stale or new and fresh. Freshen up your networks like a mini-makeover.
REFRESH YOUR B
Just as a website needs design updating, so do your social networks. Create a fresh new look and feel for your brand’s social media presence, and mirror the design across all social media profiles that you will be working with. Consistency in social design is key for clean and professional branding.
RESOURCES AND DOWNLOADS
A great way to establish your brand as a credible resource is to create and manage lists or guides.
