Meet Breeze Wetzel. Her delicious marshmallow company started just a few years ago when her 4 year old daughter Madyson asked her how to make a marshmallow. Madyson and her Dad started blending and mixing up different recipes together in their small home kitchen. Turns out, they were delicious!
Madyson and her Mom, Breeze, sold marshmallows at a few local holiday bazaars over the holidays. And soon they had made over 1,000 marshmallows for friends and family. The marshmallows were a hit! And, Madyson’s Marshmallows was born.
I met Breeze Wetzel through Social Media and first tasted her marshmallows from another amazing female entrepreneur that I met through Social Media, Alyssa Gregory, founder of Small Business Bonfire.
Breeze has done an outstanding job of marketing her business and getting her message to everyone through social media. She let her friends, family and fans know what was going on with her company and the journey to grow her business. She has amazing top-notch photography of her products and, most importantly, she has used social media to gain fans outside of her home state by letting people know how to shop online. One very smart tool that she used to grow her business and to get funding was, KickStarter. If you don’t know KickStarter, it is an online fund raising platform that is very successful. I’m proud to say that I donated to Breeze’s successful KickStarter fundraising campaign.
Madyson’s Marshallows has really grown from their humble beginnings in Breeze’s home kitchen. They have been featured in People Magazine, Specialty Food Magazine, Backpacker Magazine and more. They are now being sold in a few select Bed, Bath and Beyond stores.
Online friendships, small business dreams and social media are an extremely powerful recipe for success!
