Have an elevator pitch - Sincere hello, your name and what you can offer. Be ready to let them know how you have helped others and don’t talk too much. Ask about their business and offer to stay in contact. Offer your business card, if it is appropriate, or wait until you see them again to offer your card.

Don’t talk about business – Sometimes it is ok to just talk about everything but business to build a relationship. Get to know people before rushing into a business deal.

Plan a good old fashion “happy hour”-Find a location that offers great space (for free) and invite your contacts. Buy a few happy hour priced appetizers and let the party begin. You will become the key person for putting together the event. Remember to get everyone’s business card and follow up with an email or tweet.

Too busy to tweet? Talk to us at info@sabrinacompany.com and find out what we can do for you!
